NYLON TUBE RANGE

Nylon 6/6 & 6/12 are very stable materials, giving excellent resistance to chemicals and oils and they have an extremely high abrasion resistance. Their molecular structure makes them very tough and durable and therefore an obvious choice in the Hydraulics & pneumatics industry.

    Properties of nylon

  • very good physical properties
  • moisture has significant effect on properties
  • very good heat resistance
  • excellent chemical resistance
  • excellent wear resistance
  • fair to easy processing

What is the difference between two different kinds of nylon?

Nylon Coils

Nylon 6/12 absorbs half as much water on Nylon 6/6. Thus, even though the properties of Nylon 6/12 may not be as good as Nylon 6/6 in dry conditions; the properties of Nylon 6/12 will be much more consistent when it is used in applications in which water may be present. The absorption of water has a significant effect on the properties of nylon.

In the event that the Nylon tube will come in to prolonged contact with water, or is being used in an atmosphere of humid or damp conditions, Nylon 6/12 is the best product to use.

However, Nylon 6/6 is a much cheaper product than Nylon 6/12 and this is representative in the product prices. For this reason we offer our customers a full range of both products.

We also offer Nylon 6/12 recoil hoses, with or without tails and with or without BSPT fittings.
